Synopsis
While at the park with her mother, 8-year-old Kate notices that another child, a boy named Timmy, looks and acts differently from her and the other kids. Kate asks her mother why Timmy is "different" and if there is something wrong with him. Her mother answers the question by introducing Kate to Timmy so that the two children can play together. As Kate gets to know Timmy, she realizes that, although he is different from her in some ways, they still have a lot in common. Pastel illustrations accompany the text.
