Offered for sale is a Wall Art Quilt called "Japanese Fans".
 
 
Quilt measures 45" wide by 58" long. It is machine made and extensively machine quilted, by me, and includes a sleeve on the back for hanging. 

 
This quilt was created with a technique in which fabric repeats are utilized to created kaleidoscopic effects.    There are 8 larger fans, 1 smaller and 4 in the corners.  Each fan is slightly different and trimmed in black on the top and bottom.
The quilting, all done free-motion, with no patterns or markings, consists of feathery swirls, arcs and background meandering. 
 
The backing fabric is a brown kaleidoscope print, with more of the fan fabric in the middle.
 
The materials, time and workmanship in this quilt would place it's value in the $400-$500 range. When I machine quilt a quilt of this size for a customer, with this level of detailed quilting, the cost of the quilting alone would be about $160.
