This 12" refractor lens was made by the late R.E. Brandt. It has a focal length of 16.6. and is mounted in an aluminum cell.

R.E. Brandt was a perfectionist and it showed in his workmanship. You would have to spend much more to have a lens of this size and quality made today. World class opticians are as rare as this unique lens.

Most of the lenses Mr. Brandt made were 6-8” in size. He also made three 12” and one 14”. In 1987 he worked with Paslow Optical Co.

The optical quality of this lens is excellent. The lens has been tested to make sure the quality lived up to Brandt's reputation.

An optional set of flats is available if you want to build a folded system.
