>>Oil on canvas board by Rosalind Goldstein Bell ( 1912-1990 ), American painter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.<< Bell attended the Universituy of Wisconsin in Madison. She moved to New York in the 1950's. Shee studied with the American Modernist painter, Frank Kleinholtz. In 1983 Bell moved to Ithaca, New York to be near her daughter. She had an exhibition at the White Apple Gallery on State Street in the 1980's. One of three paintings I have by Bell up for auction this week. Painting itself measures 16 x 20 inch, overall size with the original wood frame is 20 x 23 1/2 inch. Condition on the painting is very good, the frame has some rubbing and scuff marks.
