RAAF POLICE MILITARIA VINTAGE BRACES SUSPENDERS WWII

Mid-genuine RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) vintage braces (called 'suspenders' if you are in the USA).

I am not a militaria expert, but they seem and look quite old to me; so I have indicated them to be WWII era (but please forgive me if they are not).

Tan genuine leather and cream & brown elastic. 

The leather tabs are for attaching them to the buttons on the inside of the waist of trousers.

Shiny silver-toned metal buckles (to adjust length).....the word "POLICE" is written on the buckles (with a type of Truncheon / 'Billy Club' above the writing). 

D (broad arrow symbol) D embossed on leather at back.

They have been worn and used (see photos).

I have tried to research the details which are hand written on them...but to no avail...so you may be able to work out the history of them.

As you can see by the close up photo, the owner of them has written on the back of one of the leather straps.

"RUDDY  A11445 RAAF".....or the number could be "411445"

The leather straps are 3.5cm wide.

Adjustable length….41" (104cm) at longest (including leather tabs).
