Up for auction is a lightly used Radio Shack Discovery 2200 metal detector, made by Bounty Hunter.
Waterproof 8 inch mono coil and easy to use controls, make this an excellent intermediate detector.
Very minor wear and tear, a scratch on the armrest padding, and some scratches on the bottom of the coil as usual. (Cactus)
This detector has 5 discrimination modes, including iron, nickel, pull tabs, bottle caps, and zinc, to help avoid digging trash.
Unit has automatic ground balance, and LCD target depth indicator.
Another nice feature of this unit is the 4 range audio target i.d.
It sounds 1 of 4 different tones depending on the composition and size of the target.
Comes with original owners manual, and headphones are included.
Detector runs for many, many hours on two 9 volt batteries.
Will detect coins, larger gold nuggets, rings and much more, to a depth of 6-8 inches in most ground.
Detector was bought new last fall for $250, and I've been very impressed with it.
This is a very cool metal detector!
