RARE 1 GAL AMBER EQUINE / DOG ANTIQUE MEDICINE BOTTLE

I have attended many an antique auction in my 40 years of collecting and I have never seen anything like this before.  Basically, this is a 1 gallon cork top amber brown medicine bottle with about half the contents still in it.   Not just medicine, but as the label reads Equine Cough Syrup.  The only date I could really find on the bottle is a near the bottom of the label that reads Guaranteed Under The Food And Drug Act June 30th, 1906.  The label gives the ingredients and starts with 14 PER CENT (spelled like that PER CENT) Alcohol,  Spirit Nitrous Ether  (64 Miniums), Chloroform (4 Minims), Wild Cherry Bark,  Balsam Poplar Buds, Sassafras Bark etc. etc. etc.  Further down, the label gives the dosage for Horses, Cattle and Dogs.  Ether, Alcohol and Chloroform??????  I'm no doctor, or veterinarian, but I guess it did cure the cough and as granny would say "anything else that ailed ye"  I'm surprised this old bottle doesn't say rumitize medicine on it.  Made By Parke,  Davis & Co. Now, here is the hard part.  Because this still has contents in it, I need to make it clear that this is not for use or consumption by anyone or anything.  This must be poison by now if its as old as it appears.  Also, I can not ship it with the contents in it.  I can dump the medicine out and ship the bottle empty or you can pick it up with the contents in it.  However, if and when I pull the old cork out, I'm not sure it is coming out all the easily or cleanly.  So if condition of the cork is an issue, make a note of that.    

Bottle is obviously not dug.  Label is old and worn as shown as is the cork.  The seam stops on the shoulder of the bottle.  Some nice elongated bubbles in the amber glass.  It's pretty darn nice overall.  Inspection Is Welcome! 

I know the opening bid is hefty, but I have never seen anything like this before and considering that some bitters bottles sell for big money and considering that my beagle just had a $2500 doggie MRI, maybe I can get some money back from a vet.  It will be fun to find out.
