A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
This lovely little Mulatto Jumeau has had some repairs
to the back of her head and neck, which are invisible
to the camera and the naked eye externally, the work was
so skilfully done.
The face was not affected at all.
These doll were made during the latter years of the
Jumeau firm.The face is typically Jumeau, but the complexion
was tinted and the costume changed to give an exotic effect.
The doll's eyes are a wonderful deep brown and the lip
colour, typically for these tinted dolls, rose pink.She has
all her sweet little teeth.There is an impressed '5'
on the back of the neck, but no other marks.Original pate.
The original compo.body is in good condition for its age, with
the usual scuffs and chips.It has not been over painted.
There are NO marks.The stringing is excellent.
Original Jumeau neck screw in place.
The doll is dressed in a 'Caribbean' style
but would look equally delightful dressed in
clothes more typical of the time.(See pic. 7).
Under her two piece outfit she wears a cotton 'onsie',
socks and shoes.
She has a new French hand-made Afro wig.
Second wig is dark brown human hair. Choice of wig.
