This radiant 1897 Philadelphia Minted $10 Liberty has been graded Choice MS64 by the professionals at PCGS. As you can see in the photo above, this coin is clearly well struck and very lustrous. This Liberty absolutely glows with a rich warm golden hue. Although severe bag-marking and abrasion are major problems on many of these large and heavy coins this specimen is relatively unblemished and exhibits minimal bagmarks.

The Liberty Gold Eagle in Full Mint-State is a rare find.  Pre-1900 dates like this one are substantially more scarce than later mintages and are seldom seen in auction. Out of the millions originally minted, only a tiny fraction have survived in uncirculated, Mint State 64 grade. This coin is more then a classic beauty with a high grade, it also features a low population.
