who knew the Swiss were human after all?

it may or may not be known that Blancpain
was the private label manufacturer of Lucien Piccard
watches, and as such, some of the components
of both watches were interchangeable

 of course, logic would have it that the name of each
company would be stamped only on those parts
that would eventually find themselves housed
in watches sold by the same name

that was likely the policy and business as usual
for Blancpain and the folks in the Lucien Piccard
division but not necessarily the rule: listed here
is an exception to the rule --  an anomaly to be sure 
but a veritable example of one that got away........

rather than actually being soldered directly to it

condition and warranty
movement has recently been serviced by a top Bevery Hills
watch repair business and keeps excellent time, carryng a
 6 month warranty for parts and labor; cosmetics of watch
 are self-evident - crystal has been repaced and there are no
extraordinary dings, scratches, dents, cracks to the case or
bracelet; while original dial shows wear, its condition is
 nothing less than expected with its 35 years old age
