Up for sale is a fairly scarce model Patek Philippe man's wristwatch from the 1950's. It is a Reference No. 2493 and is 18K yellow gold. The square case has rounded corners and is "pinched in" in the middle, making it somewhat hourglass shaped. It measures 31mm wide at the ends and about 29mm wide in the middle not including the crown. The length is 40mm from lug to lug. It takes an 18mm strap. The case is in good original condition and shows signs of being worn. There is a 5 line inscription on the back. The glass crystal is in perfect condition. The dial is in less than perfect condition. It shows quite a bit of staining. It can be refinished, but I will leave that up to the next owner. The movement is a calibre 10-200 and is in good running condition. Some of the nickel finish is missing off of the the movement--see photo. The watch has a new genuine crocodile strap but it is not a Patek Philippe strap or buckle. The rest of the watch is 100% genuine Patek Philippe. Here is your chance to add a hard-to-find model Patek to your watch collection. Please view the photos and ask questions as needed.
