We also start everything off nice and low, usually under 15.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure. Also if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, always at least 50% lower for the second item and even lower for multiple, or smaller items purchased.
ITEM: Up for auction is a Very Rare 18thc Georgian Sterling Silver Pierced Lemon Strainer. The Lemon Strainer is part of a Large Collection of Silver and other Fine Quality Estate items up for auction as you can see in the last pictures.
I do not know a great deal about the piece. I have heard that these early Lemon Strainers are quite hard to come by, and in our many years of collecting it is the only one we have found. The Lemon Strainer has a nice Pierced design. The Strainer is also in fine original condition with no dints, cracks, or repairs. The Strainer weights 38 grams. The Lemon Strainer measures 5 inches long, by 3 1/8 inches wide. As you can see the early English Hallmarks are quite hard to make out. Out can see the date letter "A", along with some other partial marks under magnification. I believe the Lemon Strainer would date from the Mid to Late 18thc, when most of these Lemon Strainers were made.
I have no idea what the Very Rare 18thc Georgian Sterling Silver Lemon Strainer would be worth. You Rarely see Lemon Strainers come up for auction. As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!! BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTION!
