Report itemHere's a very RARE 1931 to 1941 notebook with more than 100 pages wonderfully compiled by a girl from New York's Bayside BROOKLYN GSA TROOP 31 with 11 old MERIT BADGES, examples of block prints, handcrafted greeting cards, real photo post cards (one of West Point), etc. Cover has shoulder emblem, troop # and Be Prepared patch affixed. It's all assembled and notated with detail in this 6 1/2" x 9" binder.
The Girl Scout, Miss VERA STROMSTED Based on other papers we found in the estate lot this came from, we know that while at Wellesley, she enchanted West Point military cadets with her Norwegian beauty and talents you can see were blossoming
in this great old notebook of memories. It's a fun and fascinating read,
loaded with recipes, clippings, notes on tasks she undertook for the earning of the 11 glued-in Merit Badge embroidered patches.
