This fine McCoy Pottery cookie jar was produced in 1953 and is one you won't find every day!!! My McCoy Pottery book lists it as "Bear (Cookie in Vest). This is the 1953 re-issue and is evidenced by the word "cookies" on the lower part of the front of the jar. It also states that the re-issue is more valuable than the 1945 jar without the word cookies which I found interesting! It shows it's age as there is quite a bit of paint missing and there are several hairlines on the piece, but seriously, you probably aren't going to actually put cookies in it anyway and it displays wonderfully! Because of the rarity of this cookie jar the imperfections are sad, but understandable because of the material it is made of and it's age! With the lid on it measures 10 1/2" high and is sure to please!! Please enlarge the pictures to see exactly what you will receive! Thank you for your interest!
