This very rare beautiful collectible 1995 LIMITED EDITION “BOB MACKIE GODDESS OF THE SUN BARBIE” DOLL is new, in excellent condition, in the original box, never removed from back cardboard, only removed from outer box to take pictures for this ad.  This beautiful Barbie doll was designed from the bold imagination of world famous fashion designer, Bob Mackie.  Befitting a sun goddess, Barbie has a resplendent collar that rises like flames around her. Golden embroidery outlines each flame, and a border of embroidery encloses sequins and beads that flicker in the center, echoing the radiant of her gown.  Every bead, every sequin of the thousands in her entire ensemble are all sewn on by hand and the gown is sewn to Barbie for a perfect fit.  Her hair is colored an unusual golden yellow, then swept up in three curls above a magnificent headpiece accented with two golden rhinestones.  Delicate gold tone earrings in the shape of suns dangle near her face.  Two shades of green seem to give her eyes a penetrating quality while her subtle smile lets the world know that everything is right for one more day.  This wonderful treasure comes in the original gold box with the packing material in tact, with the original doll stand and gold shoes, the “GODDESS OF THE SUN” Booklet, a Signed Reproduction of its Original Fashion Illustration by Bob Mackie, Goddess of the Sun Registration Card, the warranty card and the outer shipping box.  Dimension – Barbie is approximately 14 inches tall.

We are the original owners of this collectible heirloom doll and purchased it new in 1995.  This doll has been stored in a completely smoke and pet free environment.  We are in the process of downsizing; therefore are selling due to display space limitations.
