RARE ANTIQUE CIRCA 1830 SANDWICH MERCURY GLASS OIL LAMP

ESTATE FRESH!  WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET!  We just purchased a very large glass, pottery & porcelain collection from a local estate. We purchased a little over 1000 pieces in this collection. The collection dates from the early 19th century to the early 20th century. We will be listing a good amount of it over the next week. In this collection there is about 300 to 400 pieces of Sandwich glass, Included are 26 oil lamps all being made by the Boston & Sandwich co. We do have some very rare and hard to find pieces as stated in Barlow's & Kaiser's Books on Sandwich glass.

This auction is for the lamp base only. The base has only very minor finish wear and no damage. The font holds liquid and has no issues. It has an etched grape & leaf design on the font. The lamp measures overall about 11 3/8" tall and 5" in diameter. The marble base measures about 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". The threaded fitting where the burner goes has a reducer in it. The reducer inner diameter measures about 1 1/4" and the the fitting on the tank that the reducer is screwed into measures about 1 13/16" inner diameter. On the bottom base the nut cavity used to put it together has been filled with lead as can be seen in the pictures.  In researching this lamp i have found someone trying to sells theirs on a few different sites, their asking price is  $1800.00. Since i purchased this collection right mine is priced with a very fair reserve. I am open to all fair buy it now offers through ebay.
