RARE ANTIQUE UZBEK SILK HAND-EMBROIDERY VERY LONG SUZANI ZARDEVOR

There are a lot of people who enjoy decorating with beautiful and original pieces of art. Some may think that they spent a fortune on it. If you are a collector or a dealer of art this is an excellent opportunity to purchase for your own investment. Women have been doing embroidery work for thousands of years, in fact in very early England and then America too, a young respectable girl was started at a very early age to learn how to embroidery and that would be one of her "good qualities" when it came time to marry her off. It was unheard of for a woman back in those times not to know how to do needlepoint. The Portuguese, Dutch and English have been known for their beautiful designs of embroidery. We would like to present to you the piece of fine hand embroideries - Suzani. One of the most popular trends of applied arts in Uzbekistan is embroidery. This name of exquisite silk embroideries comes from Persian "sozan" which means "a needle". Embroidery of Uzbekistan is different by purpose and is divided into embroidery on small household objects, and embroidery on clothes. But the leading kind of embroidery is undoubtedly Suzani. Suzani is a wall decorative embroidered piece of cloth. Boundless love for the nature finds its reflection in embroidery pieces of the Uzbek peoples. Their patterns have absorbed symbols and forms going from different epochs. The suzani of the 19th and 20th centurys are rich in flower and vegetative motives, which transmit absolute beauty of the nature - these are pictures of trees, flowering bushes, various flowers: carnations, tulips, peonies, chrysanthemums and others. Their compositions symbolize the blossom of the nature and life on the earth. From old times, flowers as symbols of love and faithfulness so close to spiritual world of women were symbols of procreation as well as fruits - a symbol of fertility. The most remarkable thing is that Uzbekistan is neither a myth nor theatrical performance of past days. Nor it is fantasy. This is reality. It is an island where traditional lifestyle has been preserved.
