Over the next couple weeks we will be listing some Very Fine examples from our Collection including Asian Arts, Porcelain, Silver, Jewelry, Watches, ect. If you haven't seen our auctions before it is nice to know we have Never Had a Reserve on one item ...Ever, no matter what it is! We also start everything off nice and low, usually under 15.00 to give everyone a great chance at a nice treasure. Also if you see more than one item you like, we give great combined shipping deals, always at least 50% lower for the second item and even lower for multiple, or smaller items purchased.
ITEM: Up for auction is a Rare Art Deco Dunhill Cartier Silver Tallboy Lighter. The Lighter is part of a Large Collection of Fine Quality Estate items up for auction as you can see in the last pictures, including a Dunhill Unique, and Tiffany Lighter.
I do not know a great deal about the Lighter, but believe it is quite a Rare find. The Lighter has a great Art Deco Streamlined deisgn and I believe is refered to as the Cartier "Tallboy" Model specifically made by Dunhill for Cartier. The Lighter is also in nice original condition with a few light marks, and no cracks, or repairs. The Lighter is in need of a Flint, and Fluid to be working. I do guarantee that once a flint and fluid are installed the Lighter is in excellent working order. The Top lid also opens with a nice snap. Inside the Lighter is signed "Pat.Applied For". The Lighter is signed on the base" Dunhill, Made in England, Cartier-Licence". The Lighter measures 3/8's of an inch wide, by 1/2 inch thick, and sits 2 1/2 inches tall.
I have no idea what the Rare Art Deco Dunhill Cartier "Tallboy" Lighter would be worth. I do not think examples of this Dunhill Cartier Tallboy Model come up for auction very often. As usual we just start all our items off low, and will let you decide. Like a Real Auction should be!! The Rare Art Deco Dunhill Cartier "Tallboy" Lighter would make a great addition to any collection, and is also a nice investment piece. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE AUCTION!
