Welcome to my auction.  I am very pleased to offer you this wonderful and authentic religious gift item.   This is something that you can give as a gift and know there is most likely not another just like this piece.  I found this item at a Estate Sale.  The piece has never been taken from the box.  This item has the most beautiful solid cherry wood box with engraved brass plate on the top of the lid and also inside the box.  The box measures 7"x5"x51/2".  The brass plate on top reads........ROCK OF AGES  This chest contains a piece of Calvary, a Rock from Golgotha,  " The Place of the Skull".  where Christ was crucified.  The brass plate has the original plastic shield to protect the brass inside the lid is also engraved with a brass plate which reads...... JOHN  19:17-18  Carrying His own cross, Jesus went out to a place called The Place of the Skull which in the Hebrew language is called Golgotha.  There they Crucified Jesus......  The cherry wood box is lined in black velvet.  The Rock of Ages is stored inside a black velvet red silk lined bag.  The stone is about 3 1/4" long x 2" wide.  It is an irregular shaped stone.  You also recieve a brass key for your chest as well as a Certificate of Authenticity from the Wyatt Archaeological Research and Museum.  The certificate reads This Certifies that this stone was taken from Calvary, The site of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.  There is also a bottle of oil with the original box that has not been opened and reads Spikenard Magdalena Anointing oil.   I have never seen a piece like this and most likely will not ever see another.  This would make a wonderful Holiday Gift for someone.  I have set no reserve!!! I have no idea of the value nor how old or when this item was originally sold.
