RARE Akubra Old- Style Bushman Size 57- New Old Stock!!

I am offering at auction this hard-to-find Akubra Bushman. This hat is New Old Stock- my understanding is that this is the ORIGINAL Akubra Bushman which is no longer available. It differs from the current model in color, size of ribbon, and the fact that it has eyelets in the crown. Also it is unlined, making it very suitable for warmer climates. This is an open-crowned hat, meaning it can be shaped to suit the wearer. In the images I have the hat creased in a basic fedora-style, also in a more country style. This hat can be worn on the farm all week and still look good enough to go to town on Saturday night. Size is 57, which is a U.S. size 7 1/8. If the buyer wishes, I can stretch it on my Garvé Hat Stretcher up to perhaps a 7 3/8. I have had excellent luck stretching Akubras, and the Garvé apparatus gives fine-looking results. If stretching is desired, please allow a few days extra insofar as delivery time is concerned.

NOTE: The brim of this hat is approximately 3 1/8" or 80mm wide and the height of the crown, uncreased or unbashed, is approx. 5 1/4" or 130mm. The ribbon is approx. 1 1/4" or 33mm wide.
