This is an Extremely Rare Early American Copper Soap Dish with Applied Riveted Copper Handle. I don't think I have ever owned a piece of American Metalwork that was this early. It dates from the 18th century and a has a few dings and bruises, but is in generally excellent condition, the patina seems like it's never been washed away. I call it a soap dish because that is what it looks like, but it could have had some early kitchen dish that I am unaware of. It is very pleasing in form and surface and would excite any collector of such material, good luck on this one, 7" long by 3 3/4" wide by 1 1/8" high. It will be shipped at cost, insurance suggested, no handling fee.
