RARE Antique MONO CO. Sand Pail

WOW - Rare antique treated composition cardboard sand pail measuring 5" tall (not including handle), 5" in diameter on top and 3-1/2" in diameter on the bottom.  Decorated with charming images of children in period clothing, two run and dance while rolling wire hoops,  as a younger child holding a large baby doll looks on.  Dating to the first part of the 1900s, sand pail was made by the Mono Services Co. out of specially treated composition that was waterproofed in an effort to replace tin - obviously, not many survived.  Condition is very nice with no holes, dents, or damage - light soiling from use does not detract - sand pail is colorful and images are crisp and endearing.  Marked MONO SERVICES CO., NEWARK N.J. U.S.A. around the bottom inner edge.  Just an amazing old pail - wonderful addition to any collection or display!
