This is Britains Clown from their circus set.  He's in very good condition with just a few paint flecks.

This is marked Copyright Britains, Ltd., Proprietors Made in England on the bottom.   Britains have been around since the lat 1800's and made many other figures besides their better known soliders.  This is from a circus play set and we have another clown and a stilt man up in separate auctions.

This clown is wearing a blue suit with white ruffles.  His face is painted with a red mouth, eyes and a stripe on his cheek.   His pointed hat has white detailing.  He is holding out his pants legs as if ready to take a bow.
