THIS TRULY IS A FABULOUS QUALITY CHINESE EXPORT TEA BOWL WITH SUPERB QUALITY GRISAILLE PAINTING FROM THE 1700'S.
THIS IS ABOUT THE BEST QUALITY THAT YOU WILL EVER FIND IN GRISAILLE.
THIS IS MUSEUM QUALITY AND THERE IS NO RUBBING TO THE GRISAILLE OR GOLD, WHICH IS AMAZING.
THIS IS PICTURED IN DAVID HOWARDS'  BOOK, "CHINA FOR THE WEST",  AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES.
PLEASE TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THE PICTURES TO SEE THE AMAZING DETAIL.
THIS TEA BOWL IS IN GREAT CONDITION.  I PUT THIS UNDER A UV LIGHT AND THERE IS A TINY FRIT THAT WAS RESTORED PROFESSIONALLY ON THE EDGE OF RIM, WAY TOO SMALL TO MEASURE, AND NO WAY CAN YOU SEE THIS WITHOUT THE UV LIGHT.
THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT PIECE OF CHINESE EXPORT FROM 1745 AND BELONGS IN EITHER A MUSEUM OR A VERY FINE COLLECTION.
THIS MEASURES 3" IN DIAMETER BY 1 3/4" HIGH.
