Here for auction today is an incredible RS Prussia Cake Plate shown as shown on page 62 of the R. S. Prussia & More book, by Mary Mc Caslin (pictures below). This cobalt and gold plate is approximately 12" in diameter and unmarked. The pink, white and gold flowers and leaves are exactly as shown in the book. We guarantee that this is old Prussia of the finest quality. The book value shown is 800-1200 dollars. We are starting the bid much lower and we hope that a true RS Prussia collector will appreciate this piece and make it their own.
The condition is excellent and the piece has the pie-crust edge just as shown in the pictures. The gold paint is in fabulous condition and the delicate porcelain cake plate rings like a bell when tapped. There are no cracks or hairlines in the plate and it will make a fine addition to your collection.
