On Jul-14-08 at 07:03:52 PDT, seller added the following information:There have been some questions regarding who resealed the image. We did not have the resealing done ourselves. When we acquired the image and popped it out, it was sealed, and written across the seal is "Resealed" and the date when it was resealed (1994).
On Jul-20-08 at 15:46:31 PDT, seller added the following information:ATTENTION: Someone asked about the white spots in the image. As a result, we are adding this information. We believe the white spots are on the daguerreotype, not on the glass. However, the spots appear brighter and more noticeable on the ebay image due to the light from the camera flash when we took our picture that reflects off the spots. They are on the dag, but are really a lot less noticeable than they are on the ebay image.
