RARE GEORGE WADE - Dartmoor Pony - 1940 - 1950s - MINT! - eBay (item 250286741633 end time Jan-16-10 16:53:35 PST)

Here is a very rare vintage Dartmoor Pony made in the 1940-50's by George Wade & Son, Ltd., now known as Wade England. This hand painted slip-cast piece is the most delicate version of all the Dartmoor Ponies. The legs are MUCH thinner than the more common production model. This piece is fully marked "Wade England" on the bottom. It is approximately 4.3 inches high. It is in MINT condition, with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It does have some all over crazing which it standard on a piece this old. These extra thin leg versions are extremely rare. It seems they were only made for a short time before Wade changed the mold so they were easier to produce with out damage. I am selling other ultra rare George Wade animals.
