Authentic Rare Piece of Civil War Currency.
GEORGIA $100 (1864) Cr 21
Vignette of Moneta seated at center, State Arms in background, Minerva standing at left.
You are bidding on a very nice example of an increasingly scarce Georgia Confederate $100 bill. Criswell designates this note as type 21.
I am not a professional grader so this is only my opinion, but I believe this note would be considered at least "Fine" to "Fine +". (Since grading is subjective, please view the photos and make your own assessment. Please ask any questions about condition BEFORE bidding – please do not ‘assume’ anything). The note is in excellent condition given its age, with the following observations in the interest of completeness: It has the thin paper typical of all Confederate currency. The upper right hand corner has been slightly clipped and the lower right hand corner is bent back. Threre a few minor 'dings' on the middle top margin. Signatures are strong and it is hand-numbered with the Serial number 11023. There is a red overprint of the number “100”. The note shows very well.
This is a piece of history which is in remarkable shape for its 146 + years of history. It is offered at a very low starting price and low reserveThis is your chance to acquire a scarce item of Confederate currency at a very favorable price. The note will be mailed to you in an acid-free Mylar Currency sleeve. Bid now to avoid being disappointed. I prefer PayPal.
