Summary / Description: All boys and girls, young and old, who have ever had a dog or wished they had one, will be delighted with this story of Barry Cayliss and the trick Boston bulldog ( now called Boston Terrier) which he found one day in the park. The dog could perform so many and such funny tricks that Barry decided to call him "Tricks". Mr. Cayliss said Barry could keep the dog if the owner were not found. A "Lost" advertisement was placed in the newspaper and through that Barry soon became involved in a series of thrilling adventures in which Tricks was spirited away by a band of dog stealers and Barry himself who had set out on the trail of the criminals with his newsboy friend, "Slip" Halloran, was innocently betrayed by Tricks and imprisoned by the leader of the band of thieves.

How Barry escaped, how Tricks was rescued and the band of dog thieves broken up forms a very exciting part of the story.

This is a rare collectible book that Boston Terrier Dog lovers will love to have in their collection.

# Pages, Format, Condition: 232 pages. Hard cover book in good condition. Light shelf wear. The Pages are tight and clean. The dustjacket has chips and tears on the edges. It is price clipped. The former owners name is written on the first page and there is a fire dept and police department phone numbers sticker on the second page.
