A rare and gorgeous Maling lidded pot with an early Coronet backstamp from the early 1930's.
This is a beautiful powder blue colour with gold and black scrolled decoration on both sides of the pot. There is a striking gold and black decorative band around the top of the pot. Bowls of fruit and fruit are inset into this panel. There is some light rubbing to the pot rim. The lid again has two black and gold decorations with a 'deco'shape fruit container set in the centres. The gold knob is perfect with no rubbing or wear.
The pot measures 5" wide and 5" high with the lid on.
It is in excellent condition, no chips, nibbles, hairlines or restoration. The bowl has a good clear 'ring' when tapped.
There is some age crazing on the base, inside the pot and the lid on the white lustre glaze.
Fully backstamped with pattern number.
This delightful lidded pot will be very carefully packed and boxed for worldwide shipping. I aim to ship within one working day after payment clears.
