We are very pleased to offer for sale this very rare MARGIT NILSEN display mannequin doll that we would date back to the 1940's. What we have is the one piece head and torso for the piece. The arms are missing and we are not sure if she originally had legs or not as there is a slit at the bottom of the torso and then an opening at the bottom that is the length of the piece where it looks as if something has been broken off. The piece is in very good condition for it’s age as these latex dolls tending to harden with time. Her original wig is still attached and looks to be in the original style as well as a hair bow glued on at the top front of her head. Her original facial paint is very good with only slight wear to her full red lips. What is great is the original paper label on her back torso is intact (see pics) and reads “MARGIT NILSEN CREATION NEW YORK.” The piece measures 10 inches long and 3 3/4 inches at it’s widest point. Even with her arms missing...this is still a wonderful display piece to add to any collection! Please note, she comes from a SMOKE FREE home! ENJOY!
