INTRODUCTION TO CAMPAIGN MATHT
Campaign MathTM introduces players to the election process and requires knowledge of fractions, percentages and ratios to win the
election. The Campaign includes three separate components; Platform, Fundraising and The Race.
Platform. The most popular platform is one that is based on the opinions of the majority of people. Try to uncover the ten issues that are of concern to the population. Select the three issues that most people favor and fewest people oppose. These three issues will form your platform.
Fundraising. You must raise money to fund your campaign. Contributions are received by contact with individuals, special interest groups, clubs and banquets. Be careful to avoid scandals.
The Race. The conclusion of the campaign centers on the race against your opponent. The popularity of your platform and your fundraising efforts contribute to the advertising strategy you will use to win.
Campaign Math TM is a program that allows an election process to be simulated. Challenge UpgradeTM allows you the flexibility to use Campaign MathTM to simulate elections in your classroom, city, or state.
Campaign MathTM can be used to reinforce knowledge of fractions, percentages and ratios. Challenge UpgradeTM allows you to fit these math skills to the player's mathematical ability. As an individual's math skills improve, upgrade the difficulty of the subject matter. Making learning fun, not frustrating.
