RARE MOSER ENAMEL PORT WINE SIPPER DECANTER 8 GLASS SET


 Welcome to my auction - Up for your consideration is this incredibly rare antique port pipe sipper set. I have not been able to find anything like this - a true port lovers dream set. The set includes decanter and 8 sippers. All pieces are hand blown glass lavishly decorated with gold gilt adorned with colorful enamel flowers. Each piece is footed and the decanter spout pours from the base of the vessel. The sippers draw from the bottom so what you are drinking is not the top layer which has had a chance to oxidize. Sipping your port through the glass stem gives the liquid a more full bodied flavor by taking the fluid from the bottom of the vessel. Photos can not do this set justice! Although not marked the set is definitely in the Czech/Bohemian style and attributed to Moser. 

CONDITION - The entire set is in very fine condition! No chips or cracks which is quite rare, not even on the enamel. The only thing I can see is a few minor rub marks on the gold and some age crazing in the heavier gold scroll designs as shown in last photo.

SIZE  - Decanter stands approximately 9 5/8" tall to top of spout, about 2 3/4" wide at bulbous mid section, sippers stand 5 7/8" tall and about 1 1/4" across bulbous mid section.

A rare and unique set for the port connoisseur or to add to your glass collection!
