|
| This is a piece of the Murchison meteorite. It fell on september 28, 1969 at 11:00 am in Victoria, Australia. Many pieces fell, with a total known weight of 100 kilograms. Murchison is classified as a carbonaceous chondrite, (CM2). This meteorite is almost totally locked up in museum collections these days. It is rarely seen anymore in micro-sized pieces on ebay. This is a great chance to fill a rare fall hole. Murchison is an absolute must for any meteorite collection. This is a fragment weighing 0.062 gram. This is a very rare meteorite. The cube in the photo measures 1 cm. I am a meteorite dealeand fully gaurantee the authenticity of every meteorite and tektite specimen I sell. Be sure to see me in the March 1999 issue of the Smithsonian Magazine, I am featured in an article about meteorite hunters! I am also featured in Fortune Small Business magazine.
