VERY RARE Album! Copyright by Henry Altemus, 1888. Entitled: Photo Art Gallery. Erie, PA: Lovell Manufacturing Co. There are 2 indexes in back: 1 with names of all the famous people in the margins - 2 names of all the people in the photos. Family names are: Murphy, O'Neall, Brown, Avery, Patrick, Workman, Stoackman ?, Geislare, Harvey, Earskin, McNareny?, Hoffman, Haskin, Churchill, Smith, Garvey, etc. etc. Most photos have Geneva photographer imprints.

Famous people include political figures, presidents, authors / writers literary - Mark Twain, Walt Whitman, Emerson, Military, Union and Confederate Civil War - Ulysses Grant, Robert E Lee, other Confederate leaders, Entertainers - P.T. Barnum, religious figures, etc,. etc. ...
