One of the more
astounding real photo postcards depicting one of the Titanic's
lifeboats and its few survivors being brought alongside the rescue ship
S.S. Carpathia. This is one of a series of several photographs taken by
Mr. J.W. Barker, a passenger onboard the Carpathia, that were
transformed into postcards. Card is postally unused and in excellent condition. Small, very minor, defects along edges as visible in scan. This rare postcard will routinely sell for more than $1,000.00!!!! Of course, the R.M.S. Titanic of the White Star Line sank on its maiden voyage on April 15, 1912, with a loss of more than 1,500 souls. I am a major Titanic collector and formerly served as a charter member and then trustee of the Titanic International Society, Inc. (as well as previously a long time member of the Titanic Historical Society). Additional Titanic items are available in my store. Visit My eBay Store: EsquireComics and Collectibles
