This is a beautiful, hand crafted african finger piano, traditionally known in the Mashonaland (Zimbabwe) tribesman as an 'Mbira or Kalimba'. These have been intricately carved for centuries by the Shona people, and are unique in their ability to create a beautiful, musical sound, when the piano keys are 'plucked'.
This piece is truly unique, and very intricately hand carved, from pure Msasa tree wood. The grain of the wood shows excellent detail, as well as the steel 'keys' giving it good character.
The Mbira has been used for centuries, in African Tribal music ceremonies. You will not be dissapointed with this stunning work of craftsmanship ! This Mbira is also properly tuned for genuine use, by the Shona man who made it for us, based in Zimbabwe.
