RARE VTG ELECTRO-MAGNETIC PANEL WALL ART SPEAKERS NR!

NO reserve price. DIMENSIONS: Wall speakers = 23 3/4" wide x 38" tall x 2 3/4" deep. Subwoofer = 37 1/2" tall x 13 3/4" wide. DESCRIPTION: Very rare pair of vintage Electro Magnetic Corporation model P-UNF wall panel stereo speakers. I can find virtually no information on this manufacturer. These were designed with silk grills that were meant to be silk-screened with art (see last photo for an example I thought up). I purchased these from the original owner, who said they sold for over $5,000 new. He said he never got around to installing them. Also included is an Electro Magnetic model 1100 subwoofer that is housed in a tall pedestal cabinet that can be used as a stand for your favorite modernist sculpture. It was meant to be finished off with a veneer or laminate, but it could just be painted if desired. The original boxes for all three speakers are included. These would look fantastic on either side of your flat panel HD TV, and the subwoofer pedestal nearby-- everyone will be impressed by how great your art sounds. CONDITION: I was unable to test the wall speakers as they have odd connections that I've never seen before, and I didn't want to risk damaging them (the RCA jacks are larger than the traditional jacks, and each has a plug-in that look like something from a computer-- see photos). They appear to be in excellent shape-- I can see through the grills and see no dings or damage. The owner stated that he was very careful to always store them in an upright position in their boxes. If anyone is CERTAIN that they can tell me how to SAFELY test these, I'll give it a try. The subwoofer has traditional connections, so I tested it, and it sounds fine. The solid oak frames have been painted blue, but the frames appear to be easily removable by way of the screws on the sides, so I believe that they can be removed and stripped or replaced-- or you could just repaint them. The grills have some blue paint on the edges, but this won't show once you've screened on your own art. WEIGHT (including boxes): Wall speakers = 41 lbs. each. Subwoofer = 90 lbs. Total weight = 131 lbs.

WHAT TO DO IF AN ITEM ARRIVES DAMAGED:
Inform us immediately by email if your item arrives damaged. The shipper may want to inspect the original packaging so please do not throw away any packing materials. Save bubble-wrap, cardboard wrap, peanuts and all original boxing. DO NOT send back to us for a refund, we must file a claim with the shipping company whenever an item is damaged in shipping. We will contact the shipper on our end and initiate the claim once we have made contact with you.
