RARE WEDGWOOD BEEHIVE HONEY JAR - CREAMWARE?? - c1950












This is an unusual Wedgwood honey pot in the form of a beehive.

I think it is made of a type of creamware and dates from around 1950.

Marked fully on base.

CONDITION -  Generally very good, though there is a very tiny star crack on the inside of the base which does not go through to the outside; and there is also a minor discolouration on base.

Both of these are extremely minor flaws, and are only visible upon close examination.

Otherwise - no chips, crazing, restoration, scratches.

DIMENSIONS  - Base diameter 4.5"; height 4.25"
