This auction is for a stunning original Victorian 1870s to 1880s bustle dress hat. The beginning of the era that a hat was as important as the hairdo. A gorgeous shade of chocolate brown velvet adorned two shades of ribbon - a solid dark brown silk and a brown,rust and black brocade silk ribbon that created very puffy large bows ( I have white tissue paper stuffed inside most of the bows), fabulous small clusters of purple flocked flowers and green stems, funky tall thin exotic black feathers and awesome glass "thing a migs" that juts out above the bows. This hat is absolutely fabulous with lots of adornment, it truly is a rare find. In mint condition, even the silk ribbons. My photos just cannot do it justice, it is a rare find that is perfect with a high fashion dress / gown. Happy bidding or why wait, BUY NOW!
