The labels on the stack bookcases are very important as they define the make, style and sizes of the units and are the signature of the manufacturer. This is what makes a piece a "signed" piece. This is increases the value of a stack significantly. This sale is for 2 (TWO) Ideal line Globe Wernicke bookcase labels. These have not been available for probably 100 years (if ever separately). I have included many photos of the Ideal units and their particular distinctive features as in my experience many people who own Ideal units do not actually know what they are. Especially if the units are missing their labels (which frequently happens). THE PHOTO OF THE IDEAL BOOKCASE UNITS ARE FOR REFERENCE ONLY!!! THE SALE IS FOR THE LABELS ONLY!!! Note the acanthus carved features on the corners of the top and base. Note the side raised recessed panels and the columns on either of the sides of the front. The labels themselves are shown in the upper right hand column. They are available In all the factory offered options. They are the D series 299 1/2, 299, 298 1/2, 298, 297 (ALL Ideals in oak were 200 series Grade) for D 12 1/4, D 10 1/4, D 8 1/2 and D 22. Also the corresponding genuine Mahogany labels are available. These were always the 598 series and available in: D 12 1/4, D 10 1/4, D 8 1/2 and the D 22. The D 12 1/4 series are shown for examples in both series. I also have the E series labels. All of these are exacting labels. These were taken from originals then restored meticulously. The restoration experts were from the same firm working on the documentation of our local hand written original 1800's Constitution and do expert art work documentation for preservation and book publications. Equipment that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars are used to give the best possible production. All type fonts, art work and color are 100% PERFECTLY EXACTING to the originals. Installed they look perfect to original. Additional quantities of these labels are available to the winning bidder. These are produced on self adhesive backed paper and are ready to be peeled and installed. These look great in that original or restored unit! I have 400+ stack units in my library/inventory and these fit in perfectly with original labeled units. I am also offering at this time an entire new and "antique" finish line of Globe Wernicke and Macey labels with virtually all grades and finishes. This has been years in the making.  Please see that separate ad.

 NOTE ALL OTHER LABELS BEING OFFERED ON EBAY ARE FRAUDS. THE FONTS, COLORS, TYPE SETS AND EVEN THE SERIES AND SIZES ARE INCORRECT. THIS IS THE ONLY SOURCE FOR THE CORRECT LABELS IN THE WORLD. When I look at stacks for sale and see inferior and incorrect parts I know that corners have been cut in all of the other areas in the care and restoration of the unit and devalue it accordingly. Unfortunately when you buy on ebay you frequently are buying poor quality workmanship and inferior to factory parts. Buy here or take your chances elsewhere.
