A Side Note for eBay Buyer:  Some seller on eBay might lead you to believe 20 amp hour batteries are better for longer runtime.  The seller's statement is simply misleading.  20 amp hour batteries DO NOT provide longer run time and it is NOT a newer or better technology.  Your Smart-UPS is not a ride-on toy, it has built-in circuitry to constantly calibrate and monitor the batteries' condition within a set parameter from the factory.  Using batteries with much higher amperage 'might' not harm the UPS unit, but it will throw off the factory's parameter for calibrating its runtime, especially true if you're using APC's PowerChute software with an attached communication cable to your server or PC.  Matter of fact, your UPS runtime might even be shorten, because the calibration by the built-in circuitry is preformed "out of spec".  Part of the circuitry tell it to charge up to 18ah according to the factory parameter, the other part of the circuitry sensed it is only 90% charged due to the usage of 20ah batteries.  This action caused the UPS to going into a constant charging / discharging state.  The side effect is shorten batteries life, worst yet, a shorten UPS life.  If you're buying it for your ride-on toy, go ahead, higher amperage, longer runtime.  For the "Smart-UPS" ones out there, please make an educated purchase, bigger is NOT always better.
