He is made of some kind of pot metal that has been painted. Nipper measures 8 1/4” to the tip of his ear. His eyes, nose, mouth, ears nails and collar are all hand painted in black. The painting is somewhat crude, which makes me think that he may be hand made. He is in excellent condition, with just a few paint nicks on his nails & one ear. I don’t know anything about his origin and when he was made. I purchased him about 20 years ago in a London antique shop. He is very heavy for his size & weighs over 4 pounds.
