Note from 74 Bag Buyer: Hi - I bought one of these for my 74B a long time ago and another a few weeks ago because it fits my BK11. I just discovered it also fits my SK50, so I need another one. Thanks and happy holidays.

This is a cloth bag for ribbon microphone with the famous “meatball” logo silk-screened onto it (on each side). The 74 and 44 bags are not a “replica”, because RCA only made bags for the 77 series.

For the 74B Microphone == this is an original, made by us! Because there is no yoke and the cables exit the bottom, and because of the small size of the mic, we have used a slip-over bag with elastic in the bottom. A nicely scaled two-thirds size “Meatball” RCA logo is silk-screened onto the front and back. See photos of an actual bag and microphone.

We also have the bags for the 77 and 44 in limited production in either stand or boom style (logo is upside down for use with boom microphones). Please indicate which you wish when you order in the memo section of paypal or by "contact seller" link in ebay.

Again this bag is an original pattern created by us.  RCA never created bags for the 44 series.  We will typically use the same cloth and do use the same zipper as the reproduction 77 bag.  Each bag is sewn individually in the United States and as such there will be slight variations to each bag.  We source fabric like RCA did -- a bolt at a time so again there will be color variations inherent in the fact we get end runs from fabric manufacturers.

The fabric is the same type light-gray “Twill” that was originally used for the 77 bags. The fabric color is a lighter version of umber gray! The particular shade of red used for the logo was carefully selected from 4 shades to look best with the fabric color, and to give a 1940’s shade of red that is pure and deep with the fabric color.

These bags are cut out and sewn by a local seamtress, and a local artisan does the silk-screening by hand with an extremely durable plasticized, heat-cured ink that allows the bag to be machine washed without fading. This is a quality product for a quality microphone.
