A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.

Working in July 2011 now...
With the help of the RCI Points Kit I have learned much about the RCI exchanging systems. I’ve listed these just to make the point that I have extensive experience with using RCI’s exchange system. When you make an exchange is when you know the relative value of something you own, whether it is a week at a timeshare or a certain number of points. What you can exchange it for (trading use), and what it cost you in the purchase price (one-time cost) and maintenance (on-going cost) is the key to value.
Before you can understand the full value you need to know a few things about how exchanges work in the RCI system …
When you make an exchange request on line with RCI, the amount of Points required for that vacation is posted on the RCI website, whether it is searching for Weeks resorts or Points resorts. You can compare size, season, and length of stay for different point values. The RCI reservation system that allows you to browse and complete your exchanges on line -- We offer a live demonstrations of the the same system that you and RCI will use when you call them. RCI Points are RCI Points. RCI Weeks are RCI Weeks. Different inventory, different results.
You wouldn't want to spend 80,000-135,000 RCI Points for a Hilton Grand Vacation Club exchange if you can exchange the correct RCI Week for the same vacation. You must have a strong Week, (non-Points), in your RCI Weeks account to do this.
You wouldn't want to spend a whole years maintenance fee for an exchange if you can get there for 6000-9,000 RCI Points. You must be a RCI Points member to do this. Wouldn't you want to cover all the angles?
Many of you are looking at this auction because you may have recently attended a timeshare presentation at a RCI Points resort, or you may have friend who owns at a RCI resort. You may be considering RCI Points or RCI Weeks. Either way your have discovered that there is a better, less expensive way to buy RCI then to buy them directly from the resorts at retail. By now you are looking to purchase the most Points for the least money with the lowest possible maintenance fees, in a safe area. Or maybe just the correct Week to exchange. Am I on the money so far? You are looking to beat the last deal you considered, but are you getting the best value? Wouldn’t it be great if you could actually login to a RCI Points account before you buy and see how they trade or a Week and see how it trade? (It is possible – keep reading!!!) If only you could compare what is really available in both the RCI Points and the RCI Weeks system to what your family really needs. You are considering spending a considerable amount of money because you believe that timesharing does or would work with your family needs. Base your decision on what you know rather than what you have been told.
Before you relinquish your hard earned money you should know the answers to the questions below. These answers are based on the total amount of money spent and actual results found with “Live” RCI Points and Weeks accounts.

My advice:
New RCI timeshare buyers: Watch the maintenance fees. Do not sign a contract with maintenance over $400.00 unless you plan to go to that resort every year. The best laid plans can be changed by one hurricane. My advice to all RCI Members is to cover all of the RCI exchange angles and opportunities on both the RCI Weeks and RCI Points systems. When on vacation, Points Only owners do not appreciate sitting next to Weeks owners when they have paid 60,000-130,000 Points for that vacation time. Weeks Only owners do not appreciate sitting next to Points owners when they have spent only 6,000-9,000 RCI Points for the same vacation. There is only one smartest person at the pool.
My invitation:
I welcome you to call me and we will login to my RCI Points & Weeks accounts together. You must play by the computer rules. It helps to know what the rules are and when the inventory will become available; but also how many Points or which type os Week will be required. I have the answers to your questions. If you can talk with me and be on your computer at the same time, I will teach you more (the truth) about timeshares and RCI in 20 minutes than you can learn in a year in chat rooms and blogs. I have been selling and trading RCI timeshares since 1981. The difference is I will show you, not tell you. No yellow pads and wild promises. We will log on to the RCI site using my accounts and I will answer your questions with the results. I even have a cheat sheet for you to print and take notes. It may be the smartest 20 minutes you will ever spend. You will quickly understand the following:
1.)Difference between RCI Points and RCI Weeks resort and rules.
2.) RCI Points
a.) Points to Weeks (10-45 days 6-9000 exchanges)
b.)Points to Points (303 days)
c.)Extra Vacations
d.) Last Call Vacations
e.) Points Partners
f.) Ongoing searches to Weeks
3.) RCI Weeks - (inventory and exchanges offered to Weeks members is NOT the same inventory and exchanges offered to Points members!)
Ninety fine percent of new buyers buy Points & Weeks to exchange. Everyone pays a maintenance fee!
I gladly share the lastest exchanging advice with in return for referrals. I know the best resort and best units. You save and play, I get referrals.
I will teach you; you will learn quickly to Book the resorts with Big Point value exchanges (60,000 - 135,000) with Weeks. If you vacation during peak seasons, (summer, spring break, winter beach), enjoy the largest units, you need these a very strong trading Week. I have been using the Week/Points for five years. Each system has saved me money or enabled me to make an exchange unavailable to the other system. You too will learn to use whichever system that will get you where you want to go for the least amount of money.
Although I have 100's of client trades posted on our websites. Help me to help you; call me!

* It is your choice each year whether to exchange your RCI Week as a Week or deposit it as Points for Deposit.
* The exchanges, (inventory), offer to RCI Weeks Resorts from a RCI Points account is NOT the same as the exchanges, (inventory), offer to members using an RCI Weeks account. It is important to know the differences!

I am someone who loves to travel, has a wife and THREE kids, and a limited budget.
One year ago I almost bought a one week timeshare in Hawaii for $34,000 and a $1200 annual maintenance fee. I "Googled" the word "timeshare" to find out more before I jumped in and there you were just waiting to rescue me. I wanted someone to show me the ropes and I clicked on your website link. You took me under wing, and showed me the ropes.
For less than $8,000 COMBINED purchase price / $1000 annual COMBINED fees and one year later I own four properties! Plus I am a RCI Weeks & Points member.
Here is what we have done with our timeshares so far;
Summer of 2004 I traded into a Hilton three bedroom next door to Sea World Orlando. (Hilton wanted $25,000/$500 for a two-bedroom they were building next door.). Spring of 2005 I traded into a Gold Crown two bedroom on the beach in Ft.Lauderdale. Thanksgiving 2005 I traded into a Westin Resort two bedroom in Puerto Vallarta, Mex. Spring of 2006 I'm already booked into another Hilton 2-bedroom on Marco Island, Fla.
Consider the annual fees alone and I'm in these four-star, two-bedroom resorts for $40 per night. I was skeptical, now I'm amazed. What's equally amazing is that you held my hand for as long as it took me to walk and are still there teaching me how to run! I can't wait until we attack the mysterious Hawaiian Islands. I want to wait until my kids get a little older, and I'm sure you'll still be there to help. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Very Sincerely,
Baltimore MD
Update 10/15/07
You're still the best. Here are my recent trips and plans.
Orange LakeCountry Club - RCI # (0670)
June 2007 - Awesome Gold Crown, did I mention three bed, three bath?
Hilton Grand Vacations Club at SouthBeach (#4865)
Thanksgiving 2008 - Can't wait for the only Gold Crown on SouthBeach, Miami.
Sea Villas( #2628 )
June 2008 - Silver Crown on a quiet family beach in sunny Florida, 1960's style.
Plus I'll be trading my SA for a two-bedroom Gold Crown in Massanutten Ski Resort this coming January 2008. They want 60,500 points in RCI Points!
In June 2009 we have a two-bedroom Lake Condominiums at Big Sky Montana, (#0175). You recommended this one and we always have wanted to see Yellowstone Nat'l Park with the kids.
For August 2009 we have exchanged for two bedroom at Gatlinburg Town Square, (#2342), a little closer to home.
For 2010 we are saving and planning on Hawaii!
I'm having a great time getting over on the "system" all thanks to you Scott.
We accept Pay Pal, VISA, M/C, AMX and personal checks. If you are new to timeshare or new to RCI and have any questions, please click or call me with any questions before bidding.
You are purchasing today for tomorrow results. Below is some after the sale feedback from a few of our clients. I am firm believer in service after the sale….
Dear Scott,
Just like many of your other customers, we spent years listening to timeshare presentations from developers, only to become discouraged and disappointed. Their memberships were too restrictive, their prices too high, and their maintenance fees were the equivalent of a week's stay at a fine hotel. We were tired of rental mistakes and wanted the reliability of a dependable timeshare at a afford price with low resort dues. We thought it may not exist.
Until we discovered Trading Time...
It was a bit frightening to make such a large purchase over the internet, so we personally contacted you, Scott, to discuss our concerns. We have never worked with anyone so helpful, so honest, so thorough, yet so distant, ever before. Just like clock-work, everything you said would be processed for our transaction, was processed - accurately and timely. Within 30 days, we were owners of our own RCI Points membership and our deeded property!
We weren't able to take any family vacations for years, while we financed our children's private high school and college educations. But in March, using our Points for the first time, we booked a beautiful 8-person condo in Las Vegas and treated the entire family to a most memorable vacation. It couldn't have been more successful!
Our adult children found out they can still enjoy family vacations - and Mom and Dad aren't so bad, after all. We want to give them as many vacations as we can, trying Hawaii next and Europe after that. We owe our renewed togetherness, our future, and our dreams to you, Scott, and Trading Time.
We can't thank you enough!
Best...always,
Maumee, Ohio
Hi Scott,
I greatly appreciate your helping to make my vacation dreams come true! You were very patient with me, as I initially asked many questions before I purchased, and you provided excellent direction to help me pick out the timeshare that best fit the needs of my family. Since we first purchased our 2 bedroom/2 bath Trading Time South African timeshare in December 2003, we have stayed in Orlando (Grand Beach I #3664 – 3 bedroom/3 bath unit off Lake Bryan-Memorial Day Week 2004), Hilton Head (Waterside by Spinnaker #5366 – 2 bedroom/2 bath unit-Labor Day week 2005), Hilton Head (Egret Point by Spinnaker #4223 – 2 bedroom/2 bath unit – 7/29/06), Orlando (Summer Bay Resorts #3175 – 3 bedroom/3 bath unit-Memorial Day week 2007), and we’ve just booked Hilton Head (Coral Sands Resort #6736 – 3 bedroom/3 bath unit for July 2008). I greatly appreciate all the information supplied on your website and the training on how to best utilize RCI’s system. It has helped us immensely. I feel so incredibly blessed to be able to vacation with my family and my only annual expense is roughly $164 for the RCI exchange fee & my resort levies of approx. Purchasing my South African timeshare is one of the best moves our family has ever made and I greatly appreciate all of your help in making it possible.
God Bless! – Charlotte, NC
Scott,
I just wanted to let you know that we took our first vacation using the points system that we purchased from you. We were completely impressed with the location we chose as well as the help we received from RCI in suggesting it. We are so happy that we purchased this from you. Just wanted to let you know that you were a tremendous help in answering so many questions. We are also so glad that we went with the points system as it will allow for much greater flexibility allowing us to choose to take shorter vacation time or even possibly longer. Your service in this transaction was absolutely amazing and we can't thank-you enough. If we ever decide to purchase more points it would definitely be through you. Thanks again.
Hi Scott,
Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your quick and professional service. Already being an RCI Weeks member for many years I had spent a fair bit of time researching RCI’s new points system. After checking many other time shares, I decided that the week in Texas that you were selling was a GREAT deal. The transaction went smooth and quickly!! I felt so confident with the first purchase that I had absolutely no reservation in purchasing another week. Just like the first time. The transaction was effortless.
Scott, I only wish that every business was run like yours.
Thanks again

Hi Scott,
I just wanted to thank you for helping us get started with our first timeshare. I did a significant amount of due diligence prior to making our purchase. I know that I found the right person to work with, and that buying at Rayburn was the right location. Despite all the research, you were able to fill in the gaps and help us with all of our questions. Being new to time share, we were a bit nervous at first to make the leap. Your patience and honesty made us feel comfortable, and the outcome could not have been better. You kept us informed at each step, and we completed our transaction with ease. Our points membership arrived quickly and we began planning our first trip right away. What fun! We booked ourselves into a fantastic resort in Puerto Vallarta, and we still have points left for other trips to come. This is an incredible value and the best thing we have done in years. Thanks!
Regards,
Evergreen, CO
Dear Scott,
Thank you for introducing us to the South African timeshares, and for your kind and consistent help as we learn how to best utilize them. We consider you a good friend even though we have yet to meet.
We purchased two South Africa timeshares from you a couple of years ago. While skeptical at first because of the adage, “If it seems too good to be true than it is too good to be true.” Well, guess what! They traded better than you said. We have traded for Gold Crown resorts from California to South Carolina. We own a one bedrooms only but have been able to trade for two bedroom or more. We have had such success that we bought two more weeks for ourselves and gave one to each of our kids, (they think we are heroes!).We are not wealthy by any means, and this lets us stay at much nicer places than we would have otherwise. Our friends have seen how much fun we have even doing the planning, and some of them have now bought. I wish we would have owned one or two of these when the kids were at home. No family should be without one, as all families need to vacation together, and this will let them stay at great places for amazing little money. We have just returned from a Sept vacation at MeadowLake Golf and Ski Resort in Montana and the condo was extra special. Thanks again.

update:
Scott,
We just finished our 27th time share vacation, and next years trips are booked. They have been absolutely wonderful; far better than we ever expected! We have traded from Scotland to Hawaii and have not had a bad trade yet ( we talk about how fussy we now are - we have been spoiled rotten!) Thank you for getting us into this.
I like to attend the sales pitches many of the places offer. None of them come close - not even remotely close - to the deals you gave us. We stay in the best condos for prices that others cannot believe. Thanks for helping make our life an affordable but luxurious stream of vacations. If you need to convince anyone of this, have them call us. We'll set them straight!
Your grateful friends,
Dear Scott, I just wanted to thank you for lining me up with the South Africa timeshare!! In the six months since we purchased our two weeks we have gone to Orange Lake Country Club in Orlando, booked a spring break week in Beaver Creek, Colorado at the Sheraton Mountain Vista, and booked another Orlando trip at the Sheraton Vistana. I have many friends who have purchased directly from timeshares resorts and all have paid anywhere from six to ten times as much!! The most amazing thing is our yearly dues are a third of what most people pay. After going to OrangeLake Country Club this last summer I figured I already made my investment back. I also appreciate your help in teaching me the "ropes" of trading. It's not hard at all!! Thanks again for eliminating my future lodging costs. My family and I will be able to see more and better destinations because of your help. Thanks, Dr.
update
Scott,
I think it has been about 5 years now that we have owned our timeshare in South Africa. We have thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful trips with the trades that we have made. To date, we have traded to Orlando three times, Beaver Creek, Myrtle Beach, South Padre Island, Phoenix, Maine, and Sedona numerous times. Most of these have been in Gold crown resorts as well! Not only have we enjoyed our trips but our friends and family have too. Thank you again for all the help with our vacations!
Dr.
Dear Scott,
The amazement continues! As you know, Sue and I own 5 timeshares thru you as well as our timeshare in Captiva, Fl purchased before we knew you and the concept of trading South African timeshares. As an aside, we paid less for the 5 than the 1 in Captiva. Over this past New Years, we took the family, all 9 of us, to Cozumel, Mexico where we stayed at the El Cid, a Royal Crown resort. We were able to obtain 3 one bedrooms thru the RCI exchange program ( pretty good when you consider RCI has only 22 rooms at the resort ). We needed a fourth room and we had to pay the regular hotel rate. Believe it or not, the amount we paid the resort for the week cost the same, if not less, as purchasing a timeshare! What was even more amazing to us was the fact that the hotel unit did not hold a candle to the timeshare units. Although Club Regina, in Puerto Vallarta, was more plush, we really enjoyed our stay at El Cid. The rooms were a good size, well decorated, and with terraces directly overlooking and literally a few feet from the beach .The friendly staff and the service provided was excellent. Although the resort was fully occupied, the facilities were not at all crowded- just as we like it. We are already looking forward to our next vacation which is scheduled for this March where will be going to the Pueblo Bonito resort in Matzalan. I’m currently conducting other searches for various dates for next year. In fact, I just accepted a match to the Sapphire Club in St Maarten. I do not want to jinx myself, but to date, I’ve been 100% successful trading into all my matches, all Royal Crown resorts. Trading and working the RCI system is a lot of fun. I can’t wait until I also have access to trading in RCI points ( I am just awaiting my membership number go-ahead ). I know I’m being redundant from my previous conversations with you, but I’ll say it again-the concept of buying and utilizing a Trading Time South African timeshare is incredible! I keep recommending it to others, but some folks just do not get it and remain apprehensive. They do not know what they are missing! Others I have referred that have purchased it love it and are referring others. In fact, my brother and his family recently returned from a trip to Cabo St Lucas where he had 2 rooms thru RCI at the Hacienda del Mar. He was ecstatic-they had a great time and fell in love with the facility. Scott, anytime you need a recommendation, please call me. Your service has been, as always, wonderful. I hope to be in touch with you soon.
With best regards,
Call me, I am easy to talk to. I look forward to your call...
