This is an adorable sculpt called "Angelina" by Regina Swialkowski. She is the size of a 3 month old baby and has the most expressive eyes. . I have lovingly reborn her into BECCA.
For those not familiar with me, rest assured, I am an experienced reborn artist. Due to the economy and slow ebay sales, I have not listed any babies in several months, and instead, have been focusing on custom orders. . Be sure to watch my auctions as I will be listing two more babies this week.

New Ebayers
If you are new to ebay and/or have less than 5 Feedbacks, please contact me BEFORE placing a bid to inform me of your intent, otherwise, I will have to cancel your bid. I welcome new bidders, however, due to recent problems with scammers and non-paying bidders, I am forced to add this policy to my auctions. About the ArtistMy name is Terri Crisp. I am a retired Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse. I have collected dolls all of my life and have always had a love for painting. I discovered the art of Reborning over 3 years ago. I truly pour my heart and soul into creating these tiny babies. I am a perfectionist and I stand behind my babies 100%. Each baby produced is an original creation and cannot be reproduced, so if baby Becca steals your heart, don't let her get away.
**About Reborning/Fake Babies**
Due to a recent United Kingdom documentary, "My Fake Baby", there is a new awareness into the artistry of reborning. Since then, reborn dolls have been showcased on The Today Show, 20/20, The View and Dr. Phil. As reborn Artists, we much prefer the term "reborns" . Please use a search using "reborn" and you will discover many more beautiful babies.

Realistic Skin ToneBeing a NICU nurse, I have cared for thousands of babies over the years. This has allowed me to be able to "mimic" baby's skintone when painting. I have, through trial and error perfected my own painting techniques using different colors to perfect that uneven, splotchy skin that newborns have. I use brushes, sponges, and sometimes my fingers to achieve this effect. I use Genesis Heat Set Paints. Each layer is applied in very thin, transparent layers and baked in between. The transparency of the paints allow each layer to show through the other. The vinyl takes own a life of its own. It does not look "painted" but rather like the vinyl is alive. Becca has been reborn as a 3 month old baby. Although she has some blotchiness and veining showing, she doesn’t have that brand new newborn skin. Because Genesis Paints are heat set, they cannot rub off. They are there to stay!

Poseable, jointed bodyBaby Becca has a fully jointed doe suede body custom made just for her. She has almost full arms and legs, with just a bit of fabric at the top to allow the body to be disc jointed for greater poseability. She can wear most 3 months clothing , as well as newborn clothes. She has been weighted with micro glass beads and poly pellets. No sand was used. She was then stuffed with faux fleecy down. Her head and limbs are also weighted appropriately . I have made her somewhat firmer as an older baby would be. She is able to hold her head up with just a minimal amount of “floppiness” to it. Her head still needs some support.

Becca's Eyes Baby Becca has very realistic eyes. They are made by Secrist and are a color that has been discontinued. It was called “coal” . I have hand painted lower lashes and hand applied upper lashes that match her hair. Her eyelids have tiny capillaries painted on them. Her 3-D eyebrows have been handpainted with Genesis Heat set paints in a color to match her hair. I have even painted her some tear ducts in the corner of her eyes.

Becca's Facial FeaturesBecca has the sweetest face with an adorable button nose. She has subtle veining at her temples, and appropriate mottling on her cheeks. This sculpt was so much fun to photograph as her expression just eats up the camera!! Becca has a modified paci that holds easily in her mouth without the use of magnets. Her lips have been painted a natural color and sealed with a matte varnish. . All of hers wrinkles have been detailed and accented.

HairThis was the most fun part. From the beginning, I pictured her having hair that stuck straight out, as some babies do, and it seemed to fit her perfectly. Her hair will lay down, as I have shown in some other pictures. I just add a smidge of baby mouse to the tips. I have micro rooted Becca's hair with a 42g German rooting needle which allows only 1-2 hairs per follicle. It looks like it is growing right out of her head. It has been rooted in the direction that hair normally grows. I have used a dark brown with a touch of auburn highlights. This hair is almost straight but will curl slightly when dampened. . This hair is so soft and silky. It has been secured on the inside with glue so it can be gently washed and styled for different looks, straight or curly.

Limbs & NailsBecca has almost full arms and legs on a custom jointed body. They have been weighted with micro glass beads then stuffed with polyfill. They have veining not only on the hands and feet but on the arms and legs as well, in approriate areas that would be visible on a baby. Her nails have been tipped in an off white, then sealed with Genesis paints. The reasoning behind painting them is not to give that "French Manicure" look, but to mimic a newborns nails. When clipped, baby’s nails, being soft and flexible, crimp when being cut, thus making a white line at the end.

. Becca has been blushed in all the places a newborn would be. No crease was overlooked. While she may look fun to play with, she is for the adult collector. Properly cared for, she will become an heirloom to pass down through generations.

Photography
I have taken numerous photos trying to accurately capture Becca’s true coloring and features. These photos were taken in natural light, outside. The photos in her Christmas outfit were taken inside with lighting. Her coloring will change with different lighting and clothing just as a real infants will. Believe me, she does not take a bad picture and I had a very hard time picking out ones for eBay. The photos were NOT enhanced or edited in any way except to crop certain ones and to add my nursery name. Please feel free to contact me if you would like additional photos of a certain feature.

Hi Terri, I am answering with many apologies as she is such a delight that feedback was due five minutes after she arrived. When I could finally cradle her and count her piggies I just couldn't put her down. She has those beguiling smiley eyes that just hint of mischief and knowing all. I love her and your workmanship is sheer perfection. You are truly a master of your craft. Thank you so very much and perhaps I can add a sibling at some point. I'll surely be looking at babies yet to come. In admiration and appreciation, Sally
"Terri, She arrived today and she is beautiful! You did a wonderful job! Thanks again for the quick shipment"....Michelle
Hey Terri, Baby Flynn arrived on Saturday. I impatiently waited for the mail to run!! He is absolutely breathtaking, so realistic! I could not be happier. I can't walk by him without picking him up and holding him for a bit. He is such a snuggle-bunny! I NOW know the difference between a reborn doll and a reborn baby! I will treasure him always. I wish I had your talent, but I don't think I's be able to sell any of them.....I would love them all. Thank you for the pictures. That was a nice touch...Sam....
