The plants that we offer in 4" pots and smaller, we like to ship in the pot when possible. It's less stress on the plant. If the plant is too heavy and would add to the shipping cost, we'll ship it dry root. This doesn't happen very often. The soil that we use is very porous and when dry, isn't very heavy. If you prefer to have your plant shipped dry root, just let us know when you pay for your order.
Shipping costs: We ship via USPS Priority Mail. The shipping cost is calculated on the total combined weight of your order according to your zip code. We have to estimate the shipping weight and if you overpay by more than 50 cents of the actual shipping cost, we'll give you a refund for the total amount of your overpayment.
Order Processing: We ship 6 days a week. Upon receipt of your payment, your order will be processed and shipped within 3 - 5 business days. If you ever want us to postpone shipping, that's not a problem. Just make a notation with your payment or send us an email.
Guarantee: We guarantee that you'll receive your plant in excellent condition and ready to enjoy. If there's a problem, please let us know. We'll make it right. You won't have to return the plant, but we may request a picture. We're here for the long haul and customer satisfaction is very important to us.
Cold Weather Shipping: During the colder months, and we feel it's necessary, orders over $20, excluding shipping, we'll include a 60 hour heat pack Free of Charge. If your order is less than $20, excluding shipping, the cost is $2. You can purchase one in our store. There are times that we feel that the emperatures are too cold to ship, even with a heat pack and we'll hold off on shipping until the weather warms up. We'll inform you if this is the case. We want your plant to arrive safely.
All of our plants are greenhouse grown under 60% shade. The sun is extremely intense here. In the winter, we don't let the greenhouse temperature fall below 42 degrees. To heat the greenhouses, we use pellet & wood stoves and propane as a back-up
NOTE: Occasionally a plant may develop an unforeseen problem that we aren't aware of until after the plant is prepared for shipping. If this happens, we will either replace it with another one of the same variety or if we don't have another one, we'll give you a full refund. We want you to receive a nice healthy plant
