Pierre Joseph Redoute created this collection of masterpieces in 1833. Connoisseurs of his times acclaimed him the "Raphael of Flowers" for his masterful works. This plate is in perfect, mint condition, carefully removed from an out of print, 25-year-old book, containing 144 of his most famous paintings. The print is an original page from the book, not a copy! It is printed on high quality, crème colored, heavy weight paper stock, with nothing on the backside. The scan shows the center portion of the print, there is an additional half-inch on all sides. The print measures approximately 10 inches by 13 inches.
