RESTORED antique trunk tray brass wood dome camel top

This is a restored medium size dome top trunk.  It was originally bought in St. Louis (circa 1895).  I have included the original store tag posted on the interior lid.  This is extremely beautiful, and a time consuming restoration.  It has the ornate embossed metal tin, painted in a burgandy with my excellant hand rubbed brassing to accentuate.   

This trunk is stripped of all interior paper.  The exterior is metal brush sanded.  Then everything is bleach soaked and cleaned.  I then sand, stain and polyurethane the interior.  The exterior metal is painted in Black Rustoleum, and Burgandy Rustoleum.  Then the embossed tin is brass color hand rubbed.  The wood slats are wood oiled, and then all the exterior is clear coated.  There are new leather handles on the sides.

Plus this trunk comes with a tray, which has also been stained and polyurethaned..

This is a hobby, and I sell these below other restored prices.  And as I say, this trunk is very beautiful if you like brass finishes.  I know NOBODY that hand rubs these ornimental tins to show their style.  I ensured that it will last for another 100+ years.  I've restored 29 trunks, and my ebay feedback is 100%.  All my trunk buyers have been very satisfied. 

I have trouble getting a good picture (including flash), with the burgundy coloring.  I try to show outdoor pics, because inside pix look too dark.  All I can say, is that I've perfected this burgandy/brass color.  My other customers of this process are all very happy.  If you're not, return it.

The blemish with this trunk is the interior floor has old wood stains (I've restored by bleaching, sanding, staining, and polyurethaning).  The pic shows this.
