You're looking a 2 pc Brother vs. Brother American Civil War Set by W Britains entitled "The Angel of Marye's Heights."  Sgt. Richard Kirkland of the 2nd South Carolina was among the many soldiers at or near the stone wall on December 14, the day after the assault at Fredricksburg. The cries and groans of the thousands of wounded Union soldiers were chilling the already frigid December air. The sounds of men freezing to death, begging for mercy, and crying for relief was too much for Kirkland to bear. After gaining the reluctant approval from his commanding officer, and though not permitted to carry a white handkerchief that could prevent him from getting shot, the brave sergeant crawled over the stone wall and for hours tended the wounded, weary, and cold men. The 19-year-old Kirkland was hailed on both sides as "the angel of Marye's Heights." No doubt he deserved that title. He gave hope and comfort to an enemy who, just the day before, was out to kill him and his fellow comrades. Regrettably, this "angel" of Fredericksburg fell mortally wounded over a year later at Chickamauga. It is item number 17012 and it has been retired by Britains for several years. It is hand painted, molded from pewter and is 1:32 scale. Packaged in a closed box.
